wilbur is one of the people i’ve been privileged to meet in this world that upon first glance

- and perhaps even the first conversation - you might think “there’s no way in hell these two would get along.” in fact, the first conversation we had got pretty spicy. but never disrespectful.

and that’s because we’re two people who are very passionate about life, its meaning, and how we all fit in. it was in that shared sense of humanity that we found we have so much more in common than those early misconceptions would have us thinking.

wilbur is a fascinating person. someone who has literally built the world he operates in with his own two hands. never taking no for an answer. doing the hard thing, every day. getting comfortable with his insecurities until those became points of strength. every motivational calendar we think is full of hackneyed advice, wilbur proves is evergreen because he just works that hard.

and that always makes for a fascinating conversation where we can learn so much from bearing witness, or in my case, playing a role. in fact, once we stopped the interview, several people came out from the woodworks in the iwan ries smoker’s lounge to approach wilbur and ask questions. they loved his story, his answers, and his approach to doing business.

it’s my hope that each of those people turned into paying clients, because that’s the best kind of proof that what we do puts you in your best light. and in the case of wilbur, we didn’t even finish the video shoot before that was already happening.
