cincinnati is a character in this piece.

cintas is a uniquely cincinnati business. a local (global) success story. but even the big company problems require a personalized touch. so we found another local institution - a tailor with a storied history. rooted in cincinnati but also touching the globe. and we told a story built on an aphorism that feels as old as the storytelling tradition.

a stitch in time saves nine.

the story is all about preparation. measure twice, cut once. all these tailor aphorisms for a company that got its start repurposing rags and turning them into workwear. building a global business out of that. a literal rags to riches story.

my production partner jennifer and i sourced cintas clothing on short notice. she found someone in cincinnati selling an old hostess jacket and drove an hour out to pick it up. i had to stay on the phone to make sure nothing silly happened.

needless to say, she met a very kind person who was more than happy to see their old possession be repurposed for a video shoot for cintas.

in these short films are moments like these. our team going the extra mile to turn a piece of content into something deeper. making connections along the way, and finding the joy in doing this work.
