He didn’t know why he bought the canvas and paint supplies. Until that point, he’d never had an interest in painting. But on the night where he intended to take his own life, Anthony saw that canvas and it became a calling. A marathon session led to his first self-portrait, and since then, art has become the vessel for Anthony to share his story — his entire story — with the world.
Anthony came to us with an urgent plea. He was about to travel across the country to celebrate the launch of a solo show and was in need of some marketing collateral to get the ball rolling. He needed us to film and deliver quickly. We booked with him in the mid afternoon. Had his pre-production call late that night. And the next morning, we were at the studio, prepared to interview and capture him in a manner that reflects his true artistic spirit.
Within 24 hours, the first edit was passed on for audio cleanup and a reveal was held the next day. No edits. Just unvarnished appreciation for the craft, the honest reflection, and the two deep conversations — not interviews on camera — that allowed us to surface the why behind the how.
